beams parts!!
hey, could I get a quote on a water pump and any gaskets or O-Rings that are required to change if not included for the beams 3sge greytop? I also need the bearing that goes in the idler for the timing belt (368D219DWA18 was stamped on the seals). I also need the bearing for an idler/tensioner on the acc belt where the a/c normally is (6204DU2 stamped on seals). Finally, an accessory belt. thanks alot!

We're pretty much high and dry. The BEAMS engine was not imported into North America (as I'm sure you know), so we don't get parts catalogs for it from Toyota. That means I have to go to the internet to dig up part numbers, just like anybody else. Even if we can find correct part numbers, Toyota won't sell us the parts unless they are already on the US parts system. They do allow us access to a fair bit of GenIII and 20V stuff that has filtered in over the years, but we can't get much of anything for the BEAMS.
If you can come up with part numbers that are confirmed correct for your engine, it really helps, I'll give it a try. I get the impression that most BEAMS owners buy their parts in from a third party in Japan or Australia. |

Ok, ive found out that the water pump is the same as a water pump for a GEN 3 3sgte or 3sge, and the accessory belt is the same as the one for the 5sfe... can you get them now??

Yes, with one clarification: Since we can't get a complete Gen3 water pump from Toyota, those guys use the front half of the Gen2 water pump with their existing rear cover. We stock this pump for just that reason:
16110-79115 - $101.34 - Water pump, front half only Now, which "accessory" belt are you looking for - alternator or A/C? If alternator, I'll need to know what size alternator you are using. Either way, they are cheap (typically $11-14) and we keep most of them in stock. |

I need both belts, One that runs the altenator ( p/n 27060-74660 ). I believe that means its size "66", whatever that means. The other belt runs the power steering. The car has no a/c, just an idler in its place.

Wait a minute here. What kind of car is this in? I was assuming a MkII MR2, but if you need a belt for a power steering pump, obviously it's something else. That makes a big difference in belts. Two different cars with the same engine will not always have the same accessories or belts screwed to them.
I am pretty good at my job, but until you tell me, I don't know what you are working on. The more information you can give me, the less time I will spend looking up information that doesn't help either of us ![]() |

lol excuse him Aaron he is new to the MR2 community but he does have a MR2. I believe he is using a Celica clip and left the powersteering pump on the motor. He clearly stated A/C was gone so all he needs is a Alt belt. Only problem with that is the celica uses a different rib belt as the crank pulley and alt pulley are different. So he needs a Celica belt or needs to swap over the MR2 pulleys.

OK, cool, no worries. Once you get the pulleys sorted out, let me know what pulleys and alternator you are using, and we'll get you the belt to match. Part number is not the sort of critical thing we need to figure out right now, and the price will not be astronomical, so I'm going to let it ride until the variables are sorted.

The motor is a beams greytop that I purchased seperately (came out of a jdm rav4 i believe). Its going in to my 1991 mr2 in place of a beams redtop that I pulled out. I'm going to set the motor up the same way the redtop was set up, with the same accessories.

You just need 2 belts. The Alt belt will differ on size and from what car you use because of pulleys. The other belt will differ if using A/C or not and if Celica or MR2.

ok, so I put the altenator where the power steering pump is on the celica/rav4? then, since im not running a/c... there is no other belt? So i dont even need the idler i was talking about (the one right above the a/c in that pic)

Ok, my guess was correct, I will be running the altenator in the mr2 position. The mount that I have for the altenator has a tensioner built in, so I guess i dont need the bearing for the other tensioner, since it wont be used now. So im using the mr2 crank pulley and the 43 size altenator, so I need whatever belt that goes with that set-up. Also, if I could, Id like to get some of the little plastic clip things that you screw all the interior parts in with. Thanks for the patience!
