We have a few left so we're OK for the time being. I'm here until 6:00 PM, Pacific time.

What are the specs on the AW11 set?
Are they NA specific or will they improve an SC?
How do they compare to some of the common 3rd party springs in value?

I'm thinking a set for my SC, and handing the SC's down to my 87 lemon racer... Hmm.

162lb/in front, 280 lb/in rear.

They're not NA specific, and should be beneficial on an SC car as well, though the car may sit a touch lower. Assuming there's an extra 300lb in an SC, compared to Skaughtto's '86 that I am using as a photo model, and maybe 200 of that is over the rear wheels, the front would sit 0.31" lower than Skaughtto's, and the rear would sit 0.35" lower. I kind of doubt there's that big a weight difference, but I like to play it conservative.

For $279 shipped you're getting springs that fit properly, don't rattle or fall out (like my front ST springs do when the car is jacked up), are built to Toyota's high standards of quality, and are tuned by Toyota's own performance arm to work with this particular chassis. I don't know what other drop-in options are readily available, but these are a known commodity, and I think the price is very reasonable.

Excellent questions!

Yes, they will, beautifully. Check post 14 for some links to pics of an '86 on them. I've driven that car on a track, and the handling is simply superb.

Unfortunately not. Toyota has dropped the part number in the US, so we are in the process of special ordering them from Japan. Iit may be a few months until they arrive.

Any of the TRD 'race' springs for the MK1 ? I'm pretty sure they have been discontinued for a number of years though.

I'm not seeing any reference to them on the TRD Japan site, which usually indicates that they don't exist anymore.

Thanks for checking.. I think they were discontinued in the early 90's or so.

Yeah, parts that have been discontinued for fifteen or twenty years are a little tough to supply brand new.

Hey now.. I thought it was worth asking. You never know what may be out there. Those are the only springs I would chose to replace my coilovers.
