That's where ToyoDIY falls a little short - they don't provide a way to filter part numbers by build date, model year, etc. Still, the PNC you provided is exactly what I needed. For this part, '91-'92 are very different from '93+...
First, here's the early setup. The rod is threaded and runs through a pair of bushings: ![]() Now, the later setup, as on your '93. The strut rod has a round eyelet and is held in place by a bolt through that bushing: ![]() The correct part number for your car is 48660-17040 and your cost through us is $96.75. Thanks man! |

The part numbers are different, but I am not sure what, if anything, is actually different about them. As far as I know, people do update to the newer strut rods on earlier cars without changing control arms.

If I had them here on the shelf, I'd be more than happy to measure them out, but they're not something we stock. We try not to order hundreds of dollars worth of parts from Toyota just out of idle curiosity
The house tends to frown on that as it ties up their money until we sell the part back to Toyota a month or two later.Early control arms are currently $118.20 each on the MR2 discount, and late model arms are $113.14 each. |

Yeah, I was out for a while - I took some time off to move, as well as to burn off some vacation time that I was about to forfeit because I have accumulated too much. Knuckles are $174.51 each and don't include the bearing ($58.92) or hub ($119.13).
