Custom B pipe
I heard you can get/make custom B pipes for the 20v silvertop to use the 20v manifold in a 1985 mr2?..do you have a price on that?

I was making them until I put the project on hold several months ago, but your timing is excellent. I want to raise some quick cash for a home project, so I will make you one this week, if you can pay right away.
The pipes are $220 shipped within the US, including all gaskets, brand new hardware, and two threaded oxygen sensor bungs, ready to bolt in between the 20V header and the AW11 NA catalytic converter. If you want to use the two-bolt flanged Toyota oxygen sensor, I can do it for an extra $5. I recommend keeping the threaded flange and using any standard threaded style oxygen sensor, as the Toyota system limits your choices and increases sensor cost. Keep in mind that the ST20V header won't fit with the '85 starter motor. I've heard that you can grind away part of the starter case for clearance. If that's not the case, you will need a different starter that mounts to the rear (intake) side of the block, which means you need an '87+ transmission. The rear-mounted starter can be found on all sorts of A-series Toyotas (Corolla, Prizm, Celica, etc) in any wrecking yard. This is a home project, not sold through Lithia, so I will need you to pay me directly. Post your email address and I will send you a PayPal invoice, which you can pay with PayPal or any major credit card. By the way, here's the last piece I did. I left this one unassembled for a customer who wanted to weld it up himself. ![]() |

Okay so I'm definatly keeping the 20v manifold because the 16v is cracked... I'm understanding that the swap from the FWD shift mount to the RWD shift mount is simple..on both the ST and the BT transmission (dependant on some flange)...so I think i'm going to use the 20v motor and the 20v transmission and need it to bolt right up to the mr2 exhaust. I'm not sure which o2 sensor the silvertop comes with..but i have the mr2 o2 sensor that has the 2 bolt flange and unscrews from the flange itself...will this work do you know?
sampelist@hotmail.com is my email... are u saying you need to do the whole project asap? or just want the payment before you start? I dont even have the motor yet that should be here tuesday or wednesday...and i just gotta decide if i'm still going to use the 20v transmission..i'd hate to mess it up and then not be able to sell it :/ |

The forward shift conversion is fairly simple.
If your existing sensor has a screw-on flange, you can simply remove that flange and thread the sensor directly into the industry standard M18x1.5 boss that I normally use. I'm ready to build the pipe this week, possibly even this weekend, but I will need to have payment by Wednesday or Thursday. Is that feasible for you? |

you wouldnt happen to have a pinout or some kind of diagram of the wires to hook the universal o2 sensor onto the 20v harness plug to go along with the exhaust would you?

I'll send the invoice tonight or tomorrow.
Four-wire oxygen sensors are simple. One wire is power, one is signal, and two are ground. Once you know which is which on both the sensor and the harness, the rest is cake. |

Cool, man, your pipe is done (still boiling hot from the last welds) and your invoice is on the way. Thanks!

No, it's still pre-cat. The second bung is typically plugged off, but I include it for those who want to run a standalone wideband in addition to their stock o2 sensor, or for a wideband sensor when you go to the dyno.

Yep, there should be a plug in the bag with the other hardware and instructions. Let me know how this fits and works for you. I haven't built any in a while so I actually had to go back and read my notes rather than just crank it out from memory
