'93+ spare tire.
Hi Aaron, can you give me a quote on a '93+ spare tire. Or which other spare tires would fit in a '93+ MR2.
by the way, its a '91 with '93 brake upgrades, I need the spare tire to fit over the newer brakes. Thanks. Aaron C. |

I'd like to know too. I went to at least 3 Toyota dealerships who could sell me the '93 steelie no probs but not the actual skinny 16" tire that goes with it. They told me to go to a tire shop but Discount Tire and 1010Tires couldn't help me either. So I ended up going with a 205/40-17 on a generic alloy wheel.

I can still get the wheel, but the tire is still a little tricky. I did find a source for a new one. The same size tire, T135/70D16, was also used on Celicas from 1990 through 1995, so you may find one in a wrecking yard. The wheel itself was also used on 2000 through 2005 Camry and, near as I can tell, almost any Previa.
42611-28250 - $92.70 - Wheel, spare tire, 16x4 090867 - $173.75 - 135/70D16 Bridgestone Saved on quote number 49921 if y'all decide to go new. If not, happy hunting. Thanks! |
