Quick Q on axle boot kit

On the lithia parts website I'm looking at the "Outer and Inner" axle boot kit for the non-turbo and the description reads: BOOT KIT, FR DRIVE I - W/o turbo.

That doesn't make much sense to me, so is this kit what I would need for all the boots on both axles for a '93 NA MR2?

I'd also like to know if it's possible to order just the axle nuts? Mine are a bit chewed up.

Call Aaron and he will help you out. Have your vin handy and he will set you up with what you need.

I was hoping he'd just answer the question here, I've already got a cart full of all the parts I need to order, it would take longer to have him order them for me at this point.

If that is the case, call him with your vin and ask him for the part #.

The part number for the boot kit you want is 04438-20070. That kit replaces both boots, all clamps, grease, etc on one axle. You will need two of that part number to replace both boots on both axles.

It's generally a lot more reliable to order by part number than to rely on the description in the catalog. In fact I usually suggest that people not even choose a vehicle when they're looking for parts, but rather get part numbers and paste them in themselves. Let me know once you've registered on our website, and I will set up your account to show part numbers any time you are logged in. That makes it a lot easier to keep your cart and order organized and to be confident you are ordering the correct part for your car.

We actually prefer to have people use the forum here to ask questions like this. It is really much easier for us to come to a forum and drop the info when we have a free moment, rather than dropping everything we are doing (walk-ins, technicians getting parts for service customers' cars, etc) to answer a phone call.

Are there part numbers for individual boots? I really only need one boot on one axle. Also is there a part number for individual axle nuts?

The inboard boot is available under 04438-20420 (again including all clamps, grease, etc), but to get the outboard boot, you have to get the complete kit, 04438-20070.

Sorry to overlook the axle nut request. That nut is 90179-22020.

Great all I need is the inboard one. Another question, what are the part numbers I'd need to replace the wheel bearings? I've been getting a persistent squeaking noise that I think might be the bearings.

Oh I set up an account, retard_salt*at*hotmail.com

Mike, I'm not entirely sure which combination would work. The differences between the MR2 and Celica boot kits could be entirely trivial.

The outer boot kits are not sold separately so I would suggest starting with two of the ST185 boot kits 04438-20440 to see how they fit. If those do not accomodate the SW20 inner ends then you may need two of the SW20 (turbo) inner boot kits, 04438-33012.
