hey bro my name is elijah i go by eli, on here i go bye empgen3 Foygroup has helped me this far and continues to on this journey of my swap he pointed me into your direction im located in daytona fl and .im in need of your knowledge i done a 91t to gen 3 swap the 22pin plug has been rewired igniters have power and the car will start up but will quickly shut off wont even try to idle i cant even rev the car the tps is getting the right amount of power but im still using the gen 2 map sensor could this create the problem that i am haveing.

Sounds like someone wired the swap not knowing what they were doing. The ECU-IG fuse (7.5amp you mentioned) supplies power to many circuits. One or more of those circuit have a short or are wired to ground before the consumption component (like lights, relays etc...). Basically there is a dead short to ground in one or more of the many circuits that that fuse supplies power to.

As for the starter engauging as soon as you hook up the battery, again this is a wiring mis-hap in the STA signal wire or the starter relay. The wire that controls the relay from the IGN SW. is probably wired directly to a constant 12volt source.

How was the electrical aspect of the swap done? Was it done using the gen 3 harness's or cutting and splicing harness's, or repinning plugs?

how about this? a buddy has a 91 n/a with a gen 3 3sgte swap. as soon as you connect the batter it blows the 7.5 fuse in the engine bay and tries to start without key in it. they have disconnected an aftermarket alarm off it. I went there and checked it out myself and im stumped. I went to the frunk and checked all the fuses. their all good. the alternator fuse is kinda drk brownish color though(is it burnt?) I dont see any burnt wires or smell anything melting. not all the wires are connected though.
