what? are u in nz as well?, what color is the smoke? depends on the color of smoke it can be easy repair to bad damage. anything pull apart wont be cheap u might as well get another good condition engine slot it in. 3s-gte (3rd gen) would be a nice engine to slot in a celica becuase it will fit stright in with little mods. if u want to play a little, make the 3s-gte 2.2L with ur existing 5sfe crank and forged piston and rods would be very fun car to drive and have heard ppl done that kind of conversion before, havent dont it my self as i am new to 2L world, i have being modding V8 N/A cars till now. anyways, good luck with ur car.

Whats happening hotsv1? Love them toyotas! Hey I have a few questions if you dont mind. I have a 1992 toyota celica gt 2.2L 5sfe engin that has 330cfm injectors, jdm intercooler kit, stage 3 clutch, headers, t3/t4 hybrid turbo, GReddy BOV and some others but you get the jist. I am pretty sure that I have a bad ring because it smokes like no tommorow. I have already replaced the turbo pcv valve and pcv hose. Doesnt smoke as much but still does. I was told that it would be cheaper and better to use a 3gste engine and it would be alot better of an engine and it bolts right up to everything that i have on my celica. Do you know if thats true one and two if so do you know of a place I can get one from and about how much it would cost me.

I'm new to this forum I saw you posted to the thread I put up "Im the new guy LOL" any way its always good to see people that out there that are into Mr2's.
