I'll let him know. I've heard that the 1MZ is prone to oil starvation under hard lateral stresses. Is that what happened to you? I run about an extra 1/2 to 3/4 quart extra of oil...so far, so good. I also put some teflon in it, but have since read a pretty reasonable argument against it. I will definitely call you when I get out there. When I replied to your thread I didn't realize it was YOU that I was responding to!

Thanks for the compliments. It helps ease the pain of another v6 going down.. seized one this weekend at PACNW event in medford oregon. tell your son theres a big mr2 meet in beginning of august on treasure island between san francisco and oakland. I won't be attending it though. as my motor is dead and I'll be in miami at that time.
I got a fully built 1MZ coming in a few weeks though that I been working on for quite a few months. hoping to pass brad's dyno numbers (without the nitrous).
