I don't know man. I never had any trouble with the wires where Toyota put them.
If I were going to tuck the wires, I would extend the body harness and fuse box into the trunk, extend the coolant neck/o2, wires into the trunk, etc. Mount the ignitor, etc in the trunk.
A lot of time and effort...
MR2s are just dirty. Dirtiest engine bay of any car I've owned. I don't care how much you clean it, it get's nasty quick. I try not even look under there unless it is to check/change the oil.
