TVIS is a variable flaps in the intake runners. The gen2 3sgte manifold has 8 runners, 2 runners per port. There's a flap in one of the two runners. They are closed at low rpm to increase velocity and increase torque, and open at high rpm to increase flow and top end power.

ACIS is the basically the same thing except found on the 3sge's.

No. I sold the cold side pipes a couple months ago. Contact Baktasht from EMSPowered or Bryan from Berk Technology. They both make replacement coldpipes for the greddy style intercoolers.

The ECUs are interchangeable, Rev1 ECU is a direct replacement for the USDM 91-92 ECU. They were just mapped slightly differently. Putting in a spacer in place of the TVIS is not going to affect your settings. TVIS is non-functional on most cars in the US. The ECU reverts down to "standard octane" settings and the butterflies are fully open almost immediately after you step on the gas.

You seen very knowledgeable, and was wondering If I can get your opinion on this....I have replaced the stock TVIS plates and butterfly with some spacing plates.....does this mean it will mess around with my boost? do i need a boost controller? FPR? Also another thing...i have a 91 JDM ECU w/a 91 US ENGINE and WIRING HARNESS, is it the same as a 91 US ECU?? THANKSSSSS
