WTT: aw11 1987 mr2 Georgia
Location:ATL Ga
Make: Toyota Model: Mr2 Tbar Year:1987 VIN: contact me for this info Transmission: 5 speed Engine: 4age Miles: 213,000 engine rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago Trade for: celica 5th or 6th gen,mr2(non leaky)(non convertible) and other japanese vehicles This is mr2 is nice. Has a nice body for its age. Needs a couple interior parts but most of it is there. This car has been reliable. I have had it about 5 months or so. It is a nice car. The issues with it that I know of is needs the oil filter housing seals changed I have the seals for it just don’t have the experience to work on it. The Tbar also leaks. I just replaced the tbar seals and it leaks around the tbar seal its self. I can show you what I mean. Other than that this car runs good and drives great. I just don’t want to put anymore money into these seals. I just spent about 200 at Toyota getting the tbar seals. The oil housing seals. Also the timing belt cover needs to be put on and the exterior needs a couple pieces replace but nothing major at all. Any question contact me via email at cyb593@yahoo.com or message me. Looks nice, esp considering the miles. Have you posted it on www.mr2trader.com?

For those of us with leaky t-bar/ t-tops. I've heard there are a couple of innovations that work. Here is one of them! |

Thats probably good since Celicas have really never been faster than MR2's year model for year model other than the latest generation of each. It is a cool looking emblem, but to those that know what the badge came from - it comes off like "backwards badging". Most of the time people "emblem swap" with a higher end, faster vehicle. Anyway, to each his own...and it does look cool otherwise. BTW, you never gave your asking price for the MR2. Quote:
How does this actually work? Also, what did this cost and how well does this work on old (original) seals...which is what I am assuming these are for since new ones should fix the leaks without that. |

oh it is already gone man. i already traded the aw 11. and those work my redirecting the holes lower on the tbar so putting more pressure on the tbar to get the seal to hit the window harder to keep water out. i didnt want to try that. my asking price was 2100 but i wanted a trade which i got so it was coool. thanks anyways
well atleast i am not trying to make people i am faster than i am you know. so i am a oddball its all good. |
