Arrow 87 Supercharged MR2 CA legal (3,000)
Vehicle Location: Fresno CA
Vehicle Price: $4500
Vehicle Odometer: 15k on rebuild eng

------------SOLD---------------

87 MR2 Supercharged for sale $3000
87 MR2 converted to Supercharged, and it's California Smog legal.

I'm selling my pride and joy. This car used to belong to Bryanh, on the MR2 message board, and I have taken car of this car as meticulously, as Bryan did.

Here is a List of everything the car has.

Chassis:
- Built May of '87
- 178,000 miles as of 9/8/06
- 183,000 miles as of June/ 2007
- Front motor mount bracket reinforced after cracking (a common weak spot in SC swaps)
- Only options are the T-top package, A/C, and the rear wing <- With the Supercharge swap, this car is lighter than original Supercharged MR2s
- Car has never been in accident.
- Clean title.
- About 15k on rebuilt engine.
- Supercharged serviced, new oil added.

Drivetrain:
- 4AGZE engine installed March '03. Swap is California smog certified. In 2004 it underwent a complete rebuild (including new Toyota pistons, Velandia bearings, all new gaskets and seals, balanced and blueprinted bottom end, cleaned and balanced injectors, etc). Shimmed oil pump to ensure sufficient pressure at high cornering loads. Engine was built with track reliability in mind.

All parts below are genuine Toyota:
- New water pump
- New timing belt
- New 4-wire O2 sensor
- New alternator
- New voltage regulator
- Properly working TPS
- New plugs, cap and rotor
- New clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and metal line near slave (as of September '03)
- 1989 C-52 transmission filled with Redline MT-90, no grinding
- rare Cusco Rear strut bar.

Aftermarket:
- Clutchmasters Stage 1 clutch with Fidanza 9lb flywheel. Superb, direct feel. I hate stock clutches now.

Suspension:
- Eibach springs
- Koni Yellow adjustable struts
- High & Tight polyurethane bushings
- Reinforced sway bar tab mounts all around (ran big bars for a while, currently using stock front bar only)
- Specialty Products front camber bolts
- Toyota 2-dot rear crash bolts
- Race-oriented (but plenty streetable) alignment
- Rota Slipstream 15x6.5" 12lb wheels with Hankook Ventus RS-2 195/50/15 tires and McGard SplineDrive lug nuts ($100/set). No curb rash.
- New passenger rear wheel bearing as of Feb '06

> Finally got the handling dialed in. On the track it sticks like glue and has very good balance. Transitions like a champ with the Eibachs.

Other:
- Prestige alarm system with keyless entry
- Odyssey 15lb drycell battery
- Custom Bullet exhaust
- Sylvania "CoolBlue" pure white headlights - noticeable improvement over stock lights.
- New water temp sensor in radiator
- Twos R Us gas charged engine lid prop strut
- Most records available.

Brakes:
- Carbotech racing brake pads (SSF compound front, Panther rear). Approximately 40-50% remaining.
- ATE Super Blue racing brake fluid
- New Toyota rotors in early 2002

Interior:
- Grant GT 13.5" 3-spoke leather steering wheel
- Very good dash (has one 2" split in front of passenger vent, and one tiny, tiny crack in the center of the glovebox. Both of which can probably be repaired in-car by a dash place)
- New windshield wiper switch and headlight switch (these commonly go bad after ~15 years of use)
- Door ajar buzzer removed
- Includes T-top shades and leather bags
_ Car comes with 05 MR2 spyder seats, but they are not installed.
_ A/C works excellent, a must for Cali. (BTW not many MR2s have a working A/C)

Exterior:
- New front air dam as of June 2005
- SC engine lid (a repaint, doesn't match the original red of the rest of the car, which is somewhat faded)
- Clear front lenses with orange bulbs
- Usual chips and door dings for an older car. Nothing huge.
- SSCA license plate frame

Stereo:
- JL Audio XR400-CX front speakers (JL's top of the line 4" coaxial) with external crossovers
- Kicker Impulse 3.5" rear coaxial speakers
- Alpine CDA-7894 MP3 head unit with removable faceplate and 60W peak per channel (27W RMS).
- Zapco (don't let the cheesy-sounding name fool you) Reference 350 amplifier [hidden] sending 330W RMS to the JL Audio 8W3v2 subwoofer.
- Custom sealed subwoofer enclosure made by Shawn M for the MKI MR2. Fits behind the seat perfectly and matches black interior carpet.

> Went for a stealthy install with this system. The only clue that it isn't factory is of course the head unit.
This setup sounds amazing!!!

Problems:
- E-brake cable seems to have stretched, which made the rear brakes drag for a while after use. Have disconnected the cable from the calipers, so no e-brake funcionality for now.
- Car could use a repaint - though looks good from 20ft and in photos
- Driver's side lock cylinder non-functional due to break-in, no need to use it though because I've added keyless entry.
- Engine lid doesn't pop-up when released - gotta pull it up.
- Trunk release cable doesn't work - gotta use the key
- Windshield washers don't spray - probably a bad pump. Have extra pump from parts car.
- Small oil leak comes and goes around the oil filter area. Distributor o-ring was suspected and replaced. I now suspect the oil cooler lines may be the culprit.

(pictures here used without bryan's permition, I hope he doesn't mind. Car still looks the same since I got it from him.)

Asking $4,500 OBO

This car is super reliable, and will give you years of trouble free driving. This car is was a regular on the track, and even won numerous Autocross events, (not with me at the wheel). Financial situation forces me to sell it, and I will never be able to get a car as good as this.

EXTRA

I'm also partingout my other MR2, it's a 88 supercharged, most of the car is still available, and if any body wants a package deal, you can have both cars for $5500 The other car includes.

05 spyder wheels
JDM retracable mirrors (very rare, and worth about $700 by themselves)
89 rear LED spoiler
new steel braided brake lines
complete engine gaske set from TOYOTA
extra car parts AFM, rear visors etc.

Let me know if interested.
cars sold as is. Only serious buyers will get to test drive, you won't be disappointed.

I have a few questions on the 88 SC your parting out.

1. How much do you want for the Head gasket set?
2. How much for the spyder wheels?
3. What color is it?

Im located in Clovis, So if things sound good I could come look at them.
