1986 MR2 - Original Owner - SOLD
Vehicle Location: Dallas, Texas
Vehicle Price: $1,000
Vehicle Odometer: 210,000

Turns out she as an 87.....learned this while looking at the title....thanks to everyone here...this has been a great place to learn things. I am on the prowl for an automatic MKII.....so I'll be sticking around. Have a GREAT MR2 day!

The time has come to part with my little car (I have just purchased a newer vehicle.) Here is her story.

I am the original owner of this car. I purchased her in Alameda, California 21 years ago. She has been with me through college, jobs and all over the U.S.A. Last year while I was driving a truck made an illegal turn across two lanes of traffic and came across the top of the front hood. The resulting damage was that the hood was buckled and the passenger side pop up light was ripped off. Because the engine is in the back on these cars there was no damage there. The insurance company totaled the car and I purchased it back. I had the hood straightened, the pop up light replaced and they put a fresh coat of paint on her. It has a rebuilt salvaged title because of this....(boy was I ever upset!) About six months ago (during the rain storms) a passing motorist "butted" her driver rear corner. But it is a small dent. Anyway, she has 210,000 miles on her which is actually considered low for that year (15,000 per year is average and I was averaging 14,000 per year) The engine is STRONG. I had the alternator replaced 4 months ago and a new master AND a new slave cylinder installed 4.5 months ago. The ac works well. The car also has a 10 inch woofer, a four channel amp and an old Nakamichi head unit. There is a cd stuck in the head unit (it holds six)...I just haven't had it taken out yet. The radio part works fine. She has a pop up sun roof. The tires are in good shape. The drivers side window needs a new motor and I would suggest the drivers side door seal be replaced. The registration and emissions/safety inspection are current till October 2008. There is a car alarm installed (yes it works.) If you are interested shoot me an email at marpesia at gmail dot com with your telephone number and I will totally respond. Have a GREAT day!

Good luck with the sale. The car looks like it was taken care of well and the price looks right for what you described. I'm sure it'll sell quickly.

Thanks much! She is a good little car and if i didn't have arthritis in my knees I would keep driving her. I was kind of "forced" into an automatic. I picked up a Camaro but it isn't as "nimble" as the MR2....I will miss her when she sells....
