85 MR2 Rebuilt Motor all Factory and TRD parts!
Vehicle Location: Waterbury CT Vehicle Price: 1800 Vehicle Odometer: 87,000 1985 MR2 in primer gray body in great condition, no rust!!!! 87,000 miles with 30 miles on a Rebuilt motor... new crankshaft, toyota rods, toyota pistons, TRD headgasket, honed block, new piston rings, valve guide seals, polished head, AE92 header heat wrapped, new starter, new altenater, TRD Clutch, MSD blaster Coil, TRD spark wires, NGK Iridium plugs, Apexi N1 Muffler, lots of various new sensors and all new vacuum hoses VIEW IMAGE GALLERY FOR A PIC OF MOTOR!
the body has a JGTC style carbon fiber spoiler, APR F1 carbon fiber mirrors, carbon fiber canards, Brand new taillights from toyota! (600$ stupidly spent!) ground control coilovers Interior is MINT except for the lack of carpeting, new toyota shift boot, trust shift knob and grant steering wheel this car has been garaged for the last 5 years! now for the downfall.... the car has an electrical problem where the battery dies overnight but the car starts and runs mint with a new battery it just dies overnight, car needs struts badly! stock struts from almost 25 years and coilovers dont mix, needs brakes from sitting in my garage for 5 years and has a minor exhaust leak where the exhaust pipe meets with the header. so other than those few things the car is excellent! it just needs to be towed away as it wont drive, or drive away safely with the struts and brakes the way they are i should say! i would really hate for it to go for only 1800 when there is over 8000 in parts alone (i have all receipts!) for something as minor as electrical, struts and brakes but i need my garage back and i have really lost all ambition to finish the car! |

You have a paraitic draw on the battery. Get a parasitic draw tester and a fluke. Hook them up and start pulling one fuse at a time til the ammperage through the fluke drops. That's where your problem will be. That way if you do sell the car you could get more money out of it. Good Luck.

thank you for the information! but in all honesty i put 8-$10,000 into this car and its still not finished and i really dont have the ambition to go any farther. plus im worried that if i do find the problem i will continue to dump more money into it to completly finish it. also i have another project car thats almost done with a new paint job and i really want to put that in the garage once spring comes (its in a storage unit now for winter). if i cant find a buyer i might finish that but only worse case scenerio! the only reason i havent sold it yet is 2 reasons... i still owe 2100 in credit card bills for the parts and that warm fuzzy feeling every MR2 owner feels driving them!
