1987 20v Silvertop Mr2
Vehicle Location: Herndon, VA Vehicle Price: 1500 Vehicle Odometer: 168844 I've started the 20v project and just can't throw any more money into it. I currently can't get it to idle although i'm pretty sure small adjustments will make it happen. the harness is a mr220v harness so it's a great harness. all the wiring is hooked up. the radiator is new. the battery is new. it has a virginia inspection which expires this month. the only thing it needs is to idle, and then get some new fluids. I have all of the old engine parts, a new shift boot, a new passenger window, all of the fluids that i'd be willing to include in the sale assuming the price is right. I payed 950 for the motor and the car is in ok shape at best. there are the typical rust spots on an mr2. I'm asking 1500, which the motor and wire harness alone are almost worth, so it's a pretty good deal considering the body is essentially being sold for nothing because the battery and radiator alone cost me about 200 dollars. I am willing to negotiate for cash and something else. surprise me.

If you decide to part out I will take your harness. It's a manual transmission correct?

Autos don't have shift boots, so my guess is yes.
Honestly if you were closer to Utah I'd highly consider buying it and swapping the engine into my body. Virginia is just way to far away to even consider it. I do wish you the best of luck with your sale though. Great deal for someone that is mechanically inclined. |
