body kits
what body kits are there out there the ones at andy auto sport - well. they all look the same. and i have been seeing some for the mk1 on car domain that i can't seem to find any where.
are there any more "exotic" looking kits out there - i come from fieros so i am used to things being more exotic i guess like vader kits for the mk2 that is what i mean. |

The sharpest looking kit out there IMHO, is the Style Auto kit. They are overseas and shipping is kinda hefty... but a neat kit.

cool thannx for the post
-any ohthers? Oh and are there different tailights more or less - less boxyish or somthing somone has modified to look better like taken lights from some other car - i mean for the rear i kinda am hooked to the popup headlights- i have a 85 fiero gt. And because we are so limited in kits- what other cars have pretty close in the same dimensions of these mk1 cars. or at least what are the dimensions of these first gen mr2s? then i can look into to see if a civic or a sentra r a celica body kit will match at all even close- then i can mess with the fiberglass like i am going to have to anyway. .............. then has anyone tried making their own bodykits or taken one that is supposed to be for say a civic or a imppreza and matched it to one of these? i would to see some pics if any of you got them. i just think the bumpers could have been done alot better as well as the rear lights on these cars- look at the celica supra - they are gorgous in comparison - thats just me though. i think these cars are very cool and i bet they could be done up like crazy. that is why i would like to mod the bod not to offend anyone btw.

Yes, but nothing as of late. Ken is still working on a lot of projects. You may be able to fit some types of civic, miata, etc. side skirts from the aftermarket on the car w/ moderate to heavy modification. Heck, I bet you could find any AE86 sides and cut them in half, shorten them and do some modifications on the ends and get them to fit. Everything for AE86 is through the roof though. I have a pic of an orange MK1 with unknown side skirts. I'll see if I can dig it up. |

indeed, making your own is fun. time consumeing and bloody painful at times. but IMO worth it in the end.
