The HKS exhaust isn't bad. A little tin can-ish and raspy sounding to me though. I'd save the bucks and just get a flange that fits your cat (if you want/need to keep it), go to summit racing and buy a cheap Thrush Turbo Muffler and a Summit Glasspack, then go down to your local exhaust shop and get some pipe and a bend or three and weld em all together (or have a shop do it, it will still probably be cheaper and lighter than the HKS).
Also, I'm not meaning to dog on Toysport, but I haven't heard too many good things about them and their customer service lately. I've never personally ordered from them, so I shouldn't really make a big deal about it though. The front and rear sways look like a good buy, but be ready for interesting handling in the rain and snow. Also check out twosrus.com for stuff. They have them for $309 including shipping. I actually run the stock rear sway, and during the winter I take it out. Had some close spins in the rain, and it helped a lot when I took the rear sway off. The car pushed a lot more through turns, but understeer is usually safer than oversteer. The 180mm NST pulley set is awesome. It tends to spin the water pump a little fast, but never knew anyone who had a problem with them. Might consider replacing that while you're in there if you haven't in a while. It'll also put you pretty much at the max of the SC12. Make sure all of your intake hoses are in good condition and tight, and consider either putting small spring steel hose clamps, or zip ties on your vacuum lines to make sure they stay where they should. No sense in wasting all that hard earned boost! |

I like the Nevo pulleys. I run a Nevo 175 and it just rocks! I'm at 8-9 PSI as soon as I plant my foot from a stop. I hit max boost, ~13 PSI, before 5 grand.
Don't expect more from the NST. The 175 pulleys are already pushing the stock SC12 out of its efficiency range and the system gets very hot, very fast. With a 180, you're just going to make the intake that much hotter, necessitating you to have a better aftercooling system to bring the intake temps down to a reasonable level. The extra heat output negates any extra pressure output. The NST is much cheaper, though, so if you're budget is tight it may be a good path to take. |
