Ok, first off.... Hey guys, hope everyone has a good Turkey Day!
Formalities overwith, here's the deal. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. My auto tranny decided to it didn't like OD and R anymore. It just so happens I had a 5 sp.that I got with a Red Top out of a Geo Prizm gsi about 3 mo. ago. My problem is, of course, the shift cables are a little short. And the shifter is more than a little awkward. Not to mention...(since I haven't got to drive it yet) I believe the shift pattern will be backwards. What I really need is a set of cables that fit maybe even donated. HAHA..Any advise or links would be great. HELP....PLEASE!@#$%Thanks in advance. |

The main problem is that the linkage is on the wrong side of the case if you're using the tranny out of the Prizm. You need the linkage to be on the front side of the tranny for the MR2.
I'd suggest just looking for an MR2 tranny, you should be able to find one cheap. Good work on the RedTop find out of the Prizm, they're hard to come by ![]()

Yeah, I read a post here ---http://members.fortunecity.com/gt5841e/mr2/blacktopproject/day13/c56.html---to modify the tranny. But, you have to have the shifting mechanism out of an MR2 trans. Thanks though...
