Blown Headgasket ?'s.....
Well a couple days ago I picked up an 87 mr2 with t-tops and, of course, it's a 5 speed. The car is pretty nice for the price I paid and everything is good except it has a blown head gasket and the slave cylinder leaks. I'd like to fix the head gasket pretty soon and start using it to drive to work on the weekends since I work 24 miles away. I've been told I have to drop the motor from the bottom of the car and change the head gasket while the motor is out of the car. How accurate is that and what is all involved in taking the motor out? Do I drop the motor still attached to the k-member or cradle or w\e. Does the motor stay attached to the trans ??? Any help is greatly appreciated.
