My left eye is retarded...
recently, after a car wash, the left headlight won't turn on. at first i thought the bulb had burned out, but both lights worked when i turn the high-beams on. do you guys know what seems to be the problem? where should i look first?
this is my first car, i have no knowledge of it, but would like to get wise. a little help would be much appreciated. thanks so much. |

Hmm, not 100% sure, but i know for tail lights, there are 2 filaments - one for normal lighting, the other brighter one for braking.
Its possible one the normal lighting one is toasted, but again, im not all that familiar with toyota lights. Check your bulb, you should be able to tell if the filament is broken or not. |

wigga is correct with this one, we have an H4 60/55W globe. this means 55W low beam and 60W high beam and H4 is just what the shape of the globe is. all auto parts stores should have them, i work at supercheap auto (a parts store) in australia and i sell about 10-20 of them a day. when putting it is dont touch the glass of the globe as they wont last as long due to the oils on your fingers. you can up the wattage but it is not a gr8 idea as the run hotter and i have seen a couple of people that burnt out their wiring by doing this.
