t top sun covers?

has anyone out there with a t-top ever made (or know of where to get) covers that way we can have the sun roof effect or we can cover them and have the no sunroof like a hard top.

I live in Arizona so the sun beating down on my head all the time might get kinda old.

You can get them from toyota..but its gonna cost you. You can order it off of partznet for $184.84(that's only one side!) Or you can get it from someone on here that's parting out their car. good luck!

thanks, me thinks i will just make them. would like to come up with a design that retracts (like a simple cloth design) that just has a hard lip that will lock into the other side for quick enable/disable action.

If I already dint have a mint pair, I would buy some instead of making them.
they will never look stock if you make them yourself without an original set to use as molds.

plus the stock ones have a locking mech. to keep them in place.

for the amount of time/effort/materials that goes into measuring, glassing, cutting, sanding, painting, ect ect.

just buy them from seven_mgte for 100.00

Yeah but that "locking mech" never works as they keep falling

you can also tint your t-top windows. Mines are tinted and it's a lot colder than before in my car.

I also live in AZ with a T-top car. I tinted the panels with 5% metallic film and that helped some, but since we live directly adjacent to the sun, I needed more. I could not find any factory shades, and since my first T bar had them and they were always falling and rattling, I decided to make my own. I used a china marker to mark the glass while the panel was in the car. I cut some cardboard about 3/4" larger than the outine from the glass. I test fitted and trimmed the cardboard as neccessary to fit over the opening, but within the weatherstripping. Once I had trimmed the cardboard to the right size, I used it as a template to mark and cut 1/4" masonite the same size. 3M spray adhesive and mousefur on the interior side and foil-backed thin insulation on the other. I spent about $35 to make my set, and they look and work very well.

There is a set on ebay right now for $6. Sure to go up I'm sure, but may be worth watching. Here is the address for the item. Good luck. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AW11-...19176429QQrdZ1

the seller wont quote shipping.

be careful..people like that tend to mark the shipping up if it doesnt sell for enough.

items prices should just be the items price
..shipping should be the fair or the exact shipping amount.

I hate when poeple try to profit off of shipping charges.

Yeah, I noticed that. But he does say that if you are unhappy with the shipping costs after the close, you can cancel the transaction. Might keep the price down.
