HARD TO START UP NEXT MORNING!!!!!!!!!!

HELLO THERE MY CAR HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR A WEEK NOW. I HAVE A MK1 1986 MR2. I JUST HAD THE OIL CHANGE THATS IT. THAT WAS THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK BUT IT STILL HAS HAPPEN. EVERY MORNING WHEN I START MY CAR TO GO TO WORK IT STARTS, IT IDLE AT 1OOO RPM THEN SLOWLY DROP WHILE THE NiddLe IS BOUNCING AND HEARING THE MOTOR ABOUT TO SHUT OFF. I TRY THIS ALSO, WHEN I START IT I HOLD ONTO THE KEYS TO TRY TO LET IT START BUT IT JUST CHOKE AND DIE LIKE HOW I DESCRIBE EARLIER. THE OTHER THING I TRY IS TO START IT AND WHEN IT CHOKE I GIVE IT SOME GAS. OK OK AFTER THE CAR SHUT OFF BACK I WAIT LIKE TEN SECONDS THEN STARTS IT UP AGAIN. THEN IS STARTS UP FINE. IT IDLE A 2000 RPM AND DROP TO 1000 WHEN IT IS COMPLETELY WARMED UP. NOW CAN THIS BE MY BATTERY? I DONT THINK SO. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR. ANY HELP, SUGGESTION , AND ANSWER WILL BE GREAT. ALSO CAN THIS BE THE PROBLEM? IVE BEEN DRIVING ABOUT 2 MONTH WITH MY INTAKE UNDER MY CAR, I MADE A PIPE TO BE BENT A LITTLE DOWN TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR NOW THE INTAKE IS SCOPING AIR LIKE THAT. WILL I DONT KNOE IF THATS THE PROBLEM JUST TO SAY IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE THE AIR MIGHT HAVE TO TRAVEL TO THE TROTTLE BODY TO GET IT STARTED? WELL TO BE HONEST I DONT KNOE WATS WRONG IM HERE FOR HELP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME TO READ THIS. HOPE TO GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVE.

def not the intake, but i think you got a vaccume leak somewhere because idle @2000rpm doesn't seem normal when cold or hot. check around the intake manifold for disconnected lines and stuff

well im not mechanic but i'd check the vaccume lines and if you're having problems starting maybe your coil. distributor cap for carbon build up on those four posts. you can check the coil or replace it with a junk yard one from wilmingtons pick your part

no no not change . just check if any lines are disconnected/unplugged anywhere(probably related to the high idle) and about the coil follow the 5th spark plug wire that doesnt go into a cylinder it should be on the side and that's your coil and your igniter is also there the igniter should also be grounded. I think they can check the coil at autozone with out having to remove it. when you remove the distributor cap look at the bottom and you should see 4 posts and if it has white shit on them just clean it a bit and put it back

dont take my word for it tho but these are just common problems to a hard start

and if you go to autozone for the hell of it ask them to test your alternator aswell(all the testing is free) my car just turns off every time i unplug the battery/when im driving and the cable gets loose and I think i might have a bad alt

Also check your AAV Auxiliary air valve, wich is located on the trottle body, this valve controls idle

I've also read that a faulty cold start injector is related to hard cold starts

Yup, as is a dirty fuel filter, dying fuel pump, etc...

err 2000 rpm is not unusual for a cold start. My car will go as high as 2.3k on a really cold day. That's the cold start injector in action. Speaking of which, since it starts at 1k the first time and then 2k and works the second time, seems like the cold start injector is having issues.

what's your idle speed at operating temps?

currently 800-850, 900 sometimes if I am standing on the brakes (they are vacuum-assist, so engine load goes up). I haven't decided yet if I want to turn it down to the factory specified 800RPM, but if I decide to do so it's easy

P.S. most mr2's w/ high idle problems, from what I can tell, are not actually idling unusually high- the startup cycles simply fail to shut off for one reason or another, be it temperature or mechanical failure, etc etc.
