Cool service manuel

I have just bought a 89 mr2 trying to find a service manuel I bought a hayes manuel but its for modles up to 87 and I don't know how compatibal it would be with my car. If anyone knows where to get the correct one I'm all ears.

Also if anyone can help me diagnose a few problems.

-car likes to die at idol sometimes (previous owner said it is an O2 sensor and it makes sense to me because of the next problem)

-every so often the car will jerk like its loosing power for an instant and I seem to think that an O2 sensor would cause that to

-Likes to pop out of 5th gear herd this was a common problem. Is it a linkage problem or something in the tranny?

-gas pedal is sticky. It returns too slowly and is heavy to push. mabye the cable is all gunked up but would like a second opinion

1985-1986 cars are slightly different than 1987-1989 cars, but for most purposes it will be useful.

Check eBay, there's often manuals on there. Your best bet is buying a Toyota factory service manual. I sold my used one, for a 1986 car on there for $50US plus shipping. The manuals aren't cheap, but they're worth the price.

Check the transmission mounts. on my 85, i would have the same problem, but with third gear also. After i donated it to a friend, he told me the tranny mounts were shot and after replacing them, worked great.
