pulling motor....

finally decided to drop the motor/tranny to put in new clutch and clean up engine bay a little. I am pretty sure i have everything unhooked, all four motor mounts have been unbolted but motor seems to be hung up on something. Do i need to remove cv shafts before i drop motor? Is there something that is commonly overlooked?

yes you need to remove the axles, shift linkage, unplug the harness from the ecu in the trunk and a couple of little things oh and that splash guard thing if you are dropping it from the bottom

Yeah, i am dropping it from the bottom. The intake manifold seems to be the problem. I think everything has shifted back and the manifold is basically scraping down the backside of the trunk. Still can't seem to get it out. I have both axles out, shift linkage, and the wiring harness. Its just the stupid intake manifold. Any ideas? Where is the splash guard?

that crap is under the firewall and it just has some bolts holding it not sure if its in two pieces tho maybe its in the way and you're forced to push the engine to the trunk side dunno

okay, i finally got the stubborn thing out...I accidently broke one of the sensors on the back of the intake manifold. Anyone know what it is? Possibly a TPS sensor?
