Full beam works but normal light doesn't?

Hello everyone.

A few weeks ago my left headlight wasn't working so i bought a new bulb and changed it myself. All was good until yesterday it went again. BUT! If i switch it to full beam it works? This is puzzling me as it's the same bulb!!!

Why does normal lighting not work yet full beam does? How can i sort this out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mk2 94 btw!

Sounds like the dimmer switch to me.

mmmm did u chk ur fuse.... low beam fuse

There is no lowbeam fuse.

m8, it would be a duel filliment globe, your low beam would have blown and your high is fine. when you put the new one in did you touch the glass part of the globe at all???
