Imagine coming out to your car in a parking lot and some jerk was parked inches from your car , how would you get in your car?

Have someone come help lift your car up and move it a bit over
? Seriously though Lambo doors aren't exactly the worst thing you could do, I personally don't think the look + the hassle of having them is worth the price. I'd spend the 2k on something else. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but evaluate what the advantages (head turner is about all I can think of) and the disadvantages (hassle, something else to eventually go out, and price) of having the Lambo doors are. When it all boils down to it, it isn't our decision. If you don't mind the hassle and have 2k laying around you don't want to give to me - then do it if you so wish. |

Alright, first off, I want to state I never got on the guys case about it. I told him I hate them from personal experience. I do. I've had them since a company I will not name (due to the fact I was sponsored and wish not to get into that here) was the only company producing them. I want to state the product was quality, and that my dislike for them has nothing to due with lack of quality. I was sponsored by them when they first came out and no one had them. They retailed at around $2000 a set back then. I've had them for 5-6 years. I said all this before on the first page, and I was stating what I said from personal experience.
That being said, I said I hate them and I do. Read my first post in this thread for my opinion. I still have them on my show car, but that's only due to the fact I don't feel like removing body parts and re-painting. I'm pretty big into the show scene, and I leave them closed at shows, and judges and spectators have no idea I have them anymore. That's the way it'll stay till I remove them. Most of my friends in the show scene know I dislike them. If you like the look, great for you. I liked it at one point in time. Now I hate the look, I hate lambo doors, and I think they are annoying as heck. If you like them, good for you...to each their own. As I said on the first page though....get back to me after you've had them for 6 years, and let me know if you still like them then. Maybe it's because I attend many many shows per year, and have been doing so for years, but I don't see them as a head turner. I see them on tons of cars at almost every show I go to, they are the altezza lights of body mods in that sense. True custom work or rare parts, custom paint, etc...are much more of a head turner than lambo doors are IMO. To each their own I guess... Last edited by eckoman_pdx; 02-28-2008 at 02:12 PM.. One thing to look into when getting a set is replacement parts...I.E shocks. Some companies, like VDC, Inc, only sell them in sets of 2 for $300 per set. Decah, on the other had, sells them individually, for $150 a shock. So if one blows, you can buy only what you need and aren't stuck buying 2 shocks at twice the price total when you only need one. That's something to mull over when looking for which company to buy from. |

I'm not a fan of lambo doors on anythin other then a lambo, but then there are those who just don't even make sense. That Regal posted by LokiRx7...do you know how heavy those doors are? I can't imagine that conversion lasting long with the weight they have to support. Lambo doors are called Lambo doors because, well, they belong on a Lambo.

If you decide to get them, check out my first post. I included contact info and info on various companies that sell lambo door hinges, and a brief run down on the differences between them. If you decide to get them and have any questions, let me know. I may dislike them, but I am quiet knowledgeable about all the various hinges and installations and will be glad to help you any way I can if you decide to get some. |

If you want to turn a few heads for a couple of grand $$$$ then get them, otherwise spend it on something else for your car... though it looks pretty nice as it is .Another alternative is to give me the money. ![]() J/k |
