are you using Bosh spark plugs? The best spark plugs are NGK and make sure that they are gaped correctly. Also when you take the spark plugs out inspect the top of the pistons. If you have a lot of carbon build up check the induction system or throttle body. If you see or feel oil in the throttle body and the Mass Air Flow you are sucking in oil from some where. This sounds like the missfire I had on mine. Let me know what happend

Gio..

p.s. I like that hood

Ohk... I got Bosh plugs.. Only cause they didnt have NGK and i thought for 20bucks its not a big loss...

OK i took it to the person to fix it.He done **** ALL.. Charged me 130bucks for takign my Pod off and gapping the plugs which i had done.. Then i went for a drive and still the same thing. he tryed to tell me it was an exhust leak... Pfft.. Me and my father fixed it.. The Distributer cap had no little points left on cylinders 1 and 2.. so we put topgun leads and cap and rotor button for 140dollors. So on monday i will be paying a visit to the so called performance shop.. and requesting my money back.. he didnt do what i payed him for..

But yer i dont really car. Its all god again.. and thats all that really matters..

Thanks about the Hood mate..

AND THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP... I learnt quiet a few things, TOP BUNCH OF PEOPLE..

Well see the shop i went to does race car preperation, He has drifters there, and drag and sand buggy things. And i thought he would have 1/2 an idea, but obviously not. Iam going in tomorrow to try and see if i can get my money back. Be cause he didnt fix what i paided him to do.

It cost me just as much to do it myself.

But thats not a bad idea. I think there a few down sydney way. But thats alittle far. Then again if i want things done right..lol

No i didnt.. The ****s just gave me a mouth full of **** and ripped into me.. And told me to **** off.. Made hair cut remarks.. And so forth.. Even told me to go to the Motor trade association, because they wouldnt do anything.. He told me i didnt pay for it to be fixed only for the diagnostics.. Ok fair enough but his Dyno that he was proud to show off should have picked it up.. It was missing like a mutherfuker.. Anyways.. I supoose its a cheap lesson really 130 and ill know better next time.. He told me they fixed it over the fone.. Even tho i was told on here 5days or so what it might be.. **** happens..
Atleast the cars running beautiful again..

Thank you all who contributed.. Mista you were a big help.. Thank you sir..

my car is having the same problem, but mine is showing a code 6. i replaced my plugs, wires, cap and rotor and im still missin. were ur check engine lights flashing when ur car was missing? when mine misses all the dash lights flash on and off. im thinking a bad ground or something.

I believe that my check engine light is always on.. the previous owners may have done something to the car and it looks like the check engine light is always on... just been covered up...

over the weekend i took my mr2 out of storage and decided to try and fix it. Most of the time the car wouldn't start and u could see sparking under the engine when i would try and turn it over. when i would drive the car it would start missing really bad when i hit bumps and all the warning lights would flash on and off. i figured that it might be a bad ground on the engine or the body. i ended up just running a ground wire from the engine block streight to the negative side of the battery. it fired up without any problems and i have not had any trouble with it missing or starting sence then. the owner before me had done a rebuild on the engine and probably just didn't connect the engine ground right.
