Lean Misfire?

I have been told that my MR2 has a 'lean Misfire'...
It pretty much has a mis at all RPM.. So any ideas as to what Caused this Misfire? And any Solutions?

Iam getting it Dyno Tuned and Injectors cleaned on the 2nd..

What about Is there anything i can do to get alittle more out of it..? Like adjusting the Airflow Meter Etc...?

Z

Start off with a tune up. Replace your spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor.

what i would do first is have the engine running and pull off one spark plug lead at a time. if the car stalls or runs even rougher when you pull the lead off then its not the plug, lead, cap, injector at that cyl. if it runs the same then i would change the plugs from one cyl to another and see if it is the same cyl, have a look at the lead ( run the car at night in as dark place as you can), the dizzy/rotor at that point and the plugs. hopfully its one of those as they are easy to fix. anything else is a bit over my head, sorry

OK i went out to the shed and Started the car... Was abit rough at first (but i havent started it for 3-4weeks) the things went out.. So i pulled off one lead at a time, The Car ran rougher each time i pulled a lead off.

Could this maybe be cause from the Injectors never been cleaned? (i suspect they have never been cleaned..)

Thank you for your feedback.. While this is frustrating me, Its enjoyable to learn and pick a few things up

the code he is talking about is from joining te1 and t1 from the diagnostics post. your engine check light will flash. what are you playing with towards the start of the video that makes the engine rev higher? by pulling the leads off one at a time you can now say it isnt anything with only one cyl. what fuel do you run it on? what RPM does it start at?

Umm.. I think its just the thing coming off the throttle body. I run the car on 98Octane Fuel. It happens at pretty much all RPM's. And no Engine warning lights come on at anytime...

And whats this diagnostics Post? And T1 and Te1?

What I meant was does the check engine light come on? Cause if it does, then like Mista 2 said, you can jump T1 and Te1 in the diagnostics port in the engine bay (at least thats where it is in my 93 turbo). It says "Diagnostics" on the cover. At this point, you really need a BGB to go any further, it will tell you what the check engine flashes mean and when the problem is.

Im not sure but could the fact that he is running 98 octane fuel in the car be a problem guys?

the engine check light doesnt need to come on the have problems that running a diagnostic will pick up. the "port" is a little black box on the passanger side of the car at the back of the engine bay. mine is near where the engine cover prop hooks under when not being used. its about 2 inches by 1 inch. if you PM me your mobile number i'll take a photo of mine and send it to you.

who's 98 octane do you use?
