bolt being all kinds of stubborn

Ive Tried wd40 and all kinds of mad force to free up the 17mm bolt that holds the top caliper. Is there any kind of bolt busting solution?
Or should I try anything else? Any help is appreciated.

pb blaster...(penetrating catalyst - spray it on, wait, pray, and remove stubborn bolt.)

+1 for PB blaster. spray it on, let it sit for 10min, try it. If not, spray some more on and let sit again, try again.

PB blaster is pretty much god among torque-deficent men

Heat up the area with a torch. It'll expand and help the bolt break loose.

A good rubber mallet is your best friend. A can of PB blaster is a close 2nd.

If pb alone fails, use a torch. It SHOULD come off.

AIR IMPACT HAMMER KIT

If penetrating oil does not do it, I get my pneumatic air impact hammer with a blunt bit in it and wrap on it a few seconds. It is truly amazing what this will do. This tool costs less than $10 and is an outstanding addition to my tool arsenal.

If I have no pneumatic hammer than I resort to a BFH and whap it a few times.

just to make sure, you are turning it on the right direction (clockwise when facing the hub)?
it is a very sturborn bolt, i had to latch together 2 wrenches to make them work as an extension

Torch all the way (just dont get it so hot it melts). You can get a breaker bar from harbor frieght that is like 2.5 feet long for more legerage too. I use both. Breaker bar + torque multiplier (jump on it) = loose bolt or broken ankle/neck.

For after you get it off. Remember a torque wrench and anti sieze are your best friends.

and a new bolt too lol :P generally if it's been a pig to get off the chances of snapping the head off increase (found that out the hard way with my old corolla's distributor bolt)

Tough Bolt

As Gisnar said "antisieze" your bolts when you reinstall them. A can of Antisieze or Neversieze will last you for 20 years and you will never regret the purchase.

Except for the fact that the stuff gets everywhere.

If anyone besides myself ever works on my vehicles they will be able to tell exactly what I've taken apart because every bolt is coated with the stuff before it goes back in.

Twenty years from now I'll be able to break apart any pieces I took apart ten years ago without stripping the bolt or galling any threads because I took a few seconds to brush on some "Antisieze".

Use it!

End of lecture.
