wll I just picked up an 88 mki mr2 for $75, bad tranny and it's automatic, I've done tranny swaps before but it was easy it was a 240sx. What I need to know is where I can find all the parts for the tranny swap, what all do I need, and any links to a guide or a "how to" type page. I don't know anything about front wheel drive transmissions so this all seems strange to me.

MMMm front wheel drive weird.. mr2's are rear wheel drive.. lol do search u'll find it..

The tranny is still a transverse (or fwd) tranny, it's just in there backwards

.

That's why we can use engines and trannys out of celicas and such...
