So I'm new and about to get a 20v swapped 87' mr2 I have many Q's

Well first off I want to ask if it is a good deal. I'm trading my very clean 89' si prelude with 4ws. The only reason I'd go for a mr2 because of it's handling characteristics, for any of those out there that know that the 3rd gen prelude was by far the best handling vehicle stock and slightly modified.

Now about parts. It is a blacktop 20v and has a leaky camseal and i sburnging some oil. I know I'l have to do the rings to fix the oil burning but where can I find the cam seal? As I've found parts for these jap only engines are extremely hard to find.

Also I plan on either building it up to put out around 200whp and use it's full11k ceiling. Where can I find the valve train and internal parts to support that rev range? Along with an EMS to tune and kill the stock rev limiter?

Or I plan on going turbo and I guess our only option is to put the old 8.9 cr 4age pistons in for that, but they are not forged right? So how much boost coould they hold. I want forged rods and pistons.

Thanks any help for this mr2 noob would help.

I know from some reading around the forums that the 4agze engines have forged pistons, and they "should" slide right into a blacktop, but I'd suggest double checking that before getting some.

A normal 4age stock can only handle about 4-6 psi from a turbo and I'm not quite sure if it's similar for the blacktop, but without forged pistons it is most likely a close bet.

I wish I knew people.. and if I did I still don't have the money.. haha.

Believe me I will not drive this car like my lude, or any other car. I have come to see from videos and peoples exp. that this car loves to snap oversteer.

Yes I would love to learn touge with this car, as I love to in my lude.

:P BT FTW!1!!
