not much you can do, you can go with different exhaust, but otherwise its still fast how it is. sell your neon and get an mr2, thatll make things faster

like the person before me said theres not alot of HP gains to be had but you can modify suspension, wheels, brakes etc. As for the oil filter i've never had a problem getting to mine. Try Lithia toyota their a sponson on here and everybody says good things about them. The spyder rims look really nice on the MK1s and I believe are a perfect fit. Now all you have to do is get rid of the neon and get yourself an MR2.

First off welcome, second if you are looking to get more power out of your sisters car you could always swap in a 20v, 2zzge, 3sgte, ect. As far as the 16v is concerned there really isn't that much out there.

------forget about my neon. so my sisters car also at freeway speeds turning right sways like crazy, like im loosing contro. it also grabs lets go and grabs again------
Be a little more specific as far as what it is doing, this will allow people to have a proper background as the functions of the car that are failing. Your meaning at freeway speeds when you turn slightly to the right, or do you mean hard curving? Have you checked primary things light lugnut tightness? Also checking swaybar and other suspension components to make sure a bolt hasn't sheered and your steering and suspension components are hanging free? About the grabbing, what are you doing when it is grabbing? do you mean the steering, or the brakes. If you mean the brakes, what kind of braking, slowing down or heavy deacceleration? Give a rundown and someone can offer some good suggestions, also put it up in the air or jack it up and slide underneath and check out the entire suspension visually. You can even take a pry bar and just pry against a few things and see if they move drastically. Make sure all components are connected, and definitely check the lugnuts. Welcome to the MR2 board. |

Neon??? i dont see to many of them in australia
as for cheap mods with good gains i would have to say give it a good service first, including aftermarket plugs and leads. then a pod filter made a good improvement for me but i already have an aftermarket exhaust. as for problems i would have a good look at your cooling system (that was the problem with my AW11) and your suspension. more than likely your suspension has not been touched since the car was new (could be the coase of the swaying). another problem is the alternator as water from an air vent can drip on it and do a bit of damage. anymore questions then just ask Mista 2 |
