MK1 Wiper Switch
So I'm having trouble with my windshield wipers, they wont go down all the way when i turn them off. and i know its gonna be summer so i wanna do this because i have time and dont have to worry about rain. i saw this guide on
MKI MR2 Write-ups so do i just solder some new solder across the wires so that they touch or do the circuit boards have to touch or how? cuz i'm stumped. Here's my wiper switch ![]() |

why don't you just test continuity on both sides of the boards to see if your problem is the same as that write-up? if you find one thats not making contact then fix that one. you could also check to make sure that its not the arm off of the motor that might be bent. just ideas to think about before messing with the switch

I have this same issue. The INT setting on my wiper switch does not work.
Therefore, when I turn my wipers off, they stop somewhere around the middle of the windshield. Until I can get it fixed, I turn my wipers on low, then if turn the switch to the off position at just the right time, the wipers will lay down where they should. |

I took my switch apart today and found out that the board is fried. I scraped some burnt stuff off and it started working like it used to. All my solders are cracked so I'm thinking that is the problem for the intermittant wipers not working. I'm going to worry about that when the wipers stop working completely. Good luck hope this little bit helps.
