Fuel Gauge Inaccurate
The Fuel Gauge on my 86 mk1 doesn't register a full tank...
With a full tank the needle is on the 3/4 tank mark. Now what's weird is that as I drive and use up the gas, it goes UP... once it reaches the full mark it then goes down as expected. ![]() Has anyone seen this or know if it's adjustable? It appears to not be able to pass the full mark and instead just flips around and goes down... |

It shouldn't be adjustable. It's most likely the fuel float sensor acting screwy.
