fuel injector problems

hello all, i am new to this site and am looking forward to being a part of the comunity. i have an 85 aw11 that i just swapped the motor for an 88, because my original was to far gone to bother with. i used my existing wiring harness, ecu, intake manifold, fuel rail, and injectors. i can only get the car to run on the #1 cylinder, #2,3,4 all spit and backfire if i hook up their injector wires, i feel like i have tried everything, and need some advice. there seems to be constant power to only one wire on the #1 injector when the ignition is on, but the others have power to both. what could cause this? any help is very much appreciated.

Out of curiosity are you using the 88 ECU?

I know 87-up there were some changes but maybe some one else might know if that could cause your problems.

thanks muffinman, i feel like a total idiot. turns out it wasn't the fuel injectors at all, i just had the firing order mixed up that whole time. anyways, she runs! pumped to have her back on the road. one more question tho if anyone knows, is there any advantage to using the injectors from an 88, versus my 85?? i have a set sitting in my shop, and i'm just wondering if it is worth the time to put them in?
