Its getting cold and my window wont roll up.

I have an MR2 SC 89 with power windows (like my forum name says) And my window will roll down but not up, I eventually want to get if fixed permanently but it is now cold. I have the door panel removed, but the little allen screw doesn't seem to do the trick, does anybody know how manually roll up the window?

Any help would be appreciated, its getting cold!

Oh and for those of you how have removed the door panel, is that little blue plastic sheet worth keeping/ does it deaden the outside sound?

Thanks

it's a moisture barrier... and have you checked your little gear?

You could take off the interior door panel and moisture barrier and push the window up from the inside with your hands. Then prop up the window with wire or a couple of pieces of wood or something.

Your window is screwed up because of one (or more) of three things:

1. The PW switch is worn out. Replace with used or junkyard sources.
2. The plastic relay box mounted beneath the interior door panel has gone bad. I've had these go out with no warning whatsoever.
3. Very likely your PW gear has stripped teeth. This has happened to me 3 times. Go to Twosrus.com and order a $25 gear. It's not a particualarly easy install, but its do-able. Be patient, work through it slowly if you aren't an ace mechanic.
