plug type

Ive always used platinum plugs. if u look carefully on the intake cam cover, t-belt side, u should find a sticker that says "platinum spark plugs, every 60k" or something like that. On your wires, i made the mistake on my 1st 4age motor of using cheap wires from the auto parts store. DONT!! Get some good 10mm wires, at least. I burned up a coil using the cheap 7mm wires. Above 4000 rpms, the coil/igniter puts out a very high energy spark. the iridium plugs are too expensive rite now. they are all pre-gapped per application. buy them, and screw them in. I am on my 3rd different car with this(4age) type motor.

depends what you are looking for. iridiums are good to last long, otherwise coppers work just fine. i trust ngk's since they are oem for spark plugs for mr2s and most other imports. basically, platinums last longer than copper, and iridiums last longer than platinums
