I don't think anything is going to bolt on from the mk2.
A LOT changed, you can't swap disks or anything like that because the mk2's have five wheel studs. The early mk1's came with a sway bar that you may be able to find, you'd have to make a few mods to get it in, like swap over the strut towers with the mounting bracket, and not sure about the frame mounting points, but you could fab something up. The 3sgte engine from the mk2 can fit into the mk1 with a bit of work. What are you looking to do? |

I've heard of some people using the rear sway bar from an MK2 (you still need end links), but don't quote me on that

Mainly im building this car to daily but hug the road. I have two 4-AGE's with under 90 on each so the 3sgte is out or the 5sgte. NA on the first set up, rebuild other motor for boost next summer.
I got the sway bar, and found I can fit a 87 supra radiator in also. |

Yeah I think it's easier to post a goal and see what people know.
There may not be a lot of things the MK1 and MK2 can easily share but there are a lot of things people have found from other cars that can be converted easily or other cheap easy ways of doing things. Example Big brake conversion Bigbrakes |

hey I read that the MK2 exhaust works but I don't know that for a fact.
I know you would have to make new hangers. |

Ya, it can be done, you do of course have to make new hangars like you said, and i'm not sure how much adapting is needed to get it to fit in there, you'll almost certainly need a section built so that it bolts onto the exhaust manifold.

There must be a thread on putting a mkII exhaust on a mkI somewhere on one of the boards. Besides what is so good about a mkII exhaust? It weighs a tonne and I found it cheaper to just build my own than mess with a mkII system. Sell the mkII one to a mkI owner then build your own with the cash

yeah see its to short and you have to make the hangers the exhaust alone cost to much to have to mod it. for $200 I can have 2.5" mandrel bent with a magnaflow and tip. I'm pretty much sold

My cars all have built systems and for the time I put into that I get EXACTLY what I want and can put the tips wherever I feel. I takes only a little longer and the end product is better. My mkII has one of the better systems I have ever had and cost $150 altogther after buying some cheap tips online and a junkyard resonator, most of the cost was for the 2 180 mandrel bends I needed (actually needed 4 90 degrees but this was cheaper). Exhausts are something that if you put the time into you will get rewarded for it.
