The red and blue color scheme is a VW trademark, appearing originally on the 1998 New Beetle and was adopted by the Mk4 Jetta/Passat as well as the Mk5 Passats. All new VWs (except the New Beetle probably) have a more Audi-esque red and white scheme.

The blue and red scheme is one of the big reasons I bought this generation Veedub, it's very unique. The cars themselves are also unique, they don't look like anything else on the road. Easily my favorite generation of water-cooled VWs. Also, unfortunately, known to be the most problematic. I have a full box of metric tools tho, and the car is an absolute joy to drive, so I say "Bring it on!"

Anyways... I always wanted to do projectors in my AW11, but I never found a quality set of conversion housings in my budget. It would be cool if you guys could do something like those leveling motors, tho.

Oh, and to further answer your question without going off on a tangent, VW uses 420nm LEDs for the blue. They are special LEDs and require a special power supply, IIRC. They have a violet hue, unlike standard blue LEDs. VW uses them in the cluster LCDs and marking backlighting, as well as the LCDs on the climate control and stock radio. All other indicators are standard red.

LOL I didn't even read the title.
that set up would be cool on the 2. Is the power levelers auto or do you have to adjust them your self? and do you get high and low?

They are manual, and they are analog, as in there is no control box. You feed power to the motors and the control knob, then run a wire between the two. (well, three, two motors and the control knob). The knob is simply a rheostat that sends a variable reference voltage to the motors to indicate position.

There is an automatic system that uses sensors with arms that connect to the suspension. I didn't want that because I wanted manual control, and the manual control also added a cool knob on the dash. I'm thinking about adding the auto system, then working in a toggle switch to select manual or auto adjustment.

A good bit of hunting for parts and some patience to put them together...Two last things I want to do is add some accent rings around the gauges and have my s/c light light up saying "Supercharged"
