Oil pan gasket

Has anyone used the fel-pro oil pan gasket? If so, are they any good? Advance auto parts has them for $11.

using it on my 91 N/A... Its like a cork type gasket. I still coated it with silicon gasket on both sides prior to putting them in.

Good to hear people have had good luck with them. Anyone figure out why there's two gaskets?

because theres a baffle in between the oil pan and block, make sure you get new longer bolts, with 2 gaskets, the old one are not going to fit. measure the bolts and gaket thickness, a few mm too long of a bolt and it bottom out on the block. too short and it wont reach or strip the threads.

you are going to need to clean off the old rtv anyways for the paper gasket, why not just use RTV?
instead of buying a 4 dollar tube of RTV now you are going to spend 15 dollars on bolts, 11 on gasket, and down time getting the right bolts. also risk oil seepage from the crappy paper gasket in the long run, if its paper, oil will seep.

The baffle is to keep oil from splashing on the crank. Especially at high RPMs in a corner... Exactly what the car was built for

i bought the gasket already and only 2 of my bolt can be tighten like their two short. So i can get away by just using one gasket, silicone and call it a day?
I also figured a line that goes to the oil pan is leaking so i need to replace it.
