Okay, got my shift boot from Aaron about 10 minutes ago...
Here are the pictures of the boot I ordered from Lithia Toyota last week...Aaron, are you sure this isn't from a tercel? It looks just like the old one I already have and I took that out of a tercel myself, of course that was a few years back, I thought this was going to be like the one on the schematics above. I can still use it, but was a bit bummed out about it because I thought this one was different. Either way I should note that Aaron is a pretty nice guy and very helpful. I just thought you guys may want to see it as well so here's what you get...same part number as on the previous postings. Part# 58808. Take a look at the first page of this thread, you'll see my old one there...does anything look familiar...
It's not a bad thing, I'm just pointing this out. It does work on the car for those that are wondering though.Last edited by efx; 04-27-2009 at 07:30 PM.. |

Nope, that's the AW11 boot. The pic on the EPC is sort of a "representation" more than anything. It's gonna be a little different in the car and may take a little time to soften up and settle in. How does it look installed?

No biggie...
I haven't installed it yet...but if you look at the first page of this thread you can see the old one I have installed which is the same. And yeah I know, those bad representations! Shame on them...
When I bought my old one it look like the new one so now you know what it will look like when it gets old too. The material is not hard so it won't be stiff or anything when I install this one. I will just be new. I'll post a picture of it installed once I do it. I've just been lazy on the computer and the forums. Procrastinating a bit, I need to read some stuff for school.Last edited by efx; 04-27-2009 at 09:09 PM.. |

Sorry not yet...
I have to take all that out again so I need to check out some stores and see if I can find something to put in the middle and get some fiberglass to get that thing fixed. But if I don't I'll go a head and put that in for you guys later.

Hey guys! Well it's been a long while since I came in. So here it is, I finally installed my new dealer boot in the car today. Yes this is the one I got from Lithia Toyota. I think I just won the longest time for a boot install, but hey, here you go. I'm not too crazy about how it fits, but that space is weird and well, it is what it is. The leather on the other one I got I think is a bit more flexible.
I have also found a place you can get one for half the price I paid. I just bought one for another car and got it installed this week too, and that's why I figure I also get this one installed. I works just fine. These guys are in New York and there is no shipping charge. So it's a good deal. TOYOTA-LEXUS SHIFT BOOTS |
