I've pulled them out of 91 celica's, 93 paseos, 94DX's, 96DX's, and 98 corollas. Every 1/2 DIN Toyota cupholder I've found so far will work with my brackets.
The board member that used the Ford cupholder reported that it was Full DIN and kind of clunky. I do have a couple of extra sets of brackets. |

Best waty to clean interior?
Okay, here is my quick and "dirty" trick for cleaning.
Go to car wash, set water temp on hot and for external cleaning/foam/soap. spray the bottom of the interior first, because it will quickly fill up with water, then hose the &^% out of the seats and door panels. Rinse, then sling water out best as you can, then vaccuum out the remaining water. This worked extremely well when I bought/cleaned my brother's old car. Turned out the grey carpet was actually blue, LOL/SERIOUSLY. WARNING WARNING U might have some stereo amplifiers or electronics under the seats. Don;t ask me how I found this out...... |

one more thing
Oh, to avoid mold and mildew and to have a nice fresh smell....
Fill up a spray bottle with liquid fabric softener and water, spray upholstery down- works and even smells wonderful |

Just wondering...
Surfer8 I was looking through your other pictures and I was wondering what do you use to make the square holes on those other brackets?

Cupholders are the one thing I mention to people when bragging about Christine. They are so basic, so simple, and so overlooked, it is stupid really - until a car comes along that doesn't have them.
I'd personally throw them between the two seats behind the shifter, what with all that space back there. However, that cupholder under the seat is really cool. |

Oh, those square holes. Used the 5000 watt laser for those. The square holes are for a 1/2 inch breaker bar. The other end is for some stuck nuts when I was redoing my suspension. I needed the weird shape to get around some strange obstructions.
I thought you might have meant the holes in the wheels in this pic. I used a 2500 watt laser for these. ![]() |

Nice...
I just thought that was very interesting since they were so clean and well, they look really good. I don't have one of those and don't even know what those lasers look like. I have never seen one. I just thought you were using cnc for them.

^ thanks for the comment. I've been teaching industrial lasers for a few years now. They are CNC controlled. Small ones are about 7' by 20' and cost around $450,000. Large ones are about 12' by 55' and run about $975,000.

Can you take a picture of them next time you're in class...
I would like to see them. I bought a mini mill and mini lathe that I'll convert to cnc some day, but everything else always comes first I guess, that's why I asked. I knew that couldn't have been a regular machine doing that. I guess the other way I thought you could do it was with a plasma cutter on a router type table with cnc. Or at least the next most affordable way for the DIY. But I don't have either. I also read the cnczone forum every now and then. A lot of very knowledgeable people there too. Oh yeah, how long did it take for the largest part to be cut, ballpark I guess. I'm just wondering how fast they can go.
