as I said in the other one.... no

the early 7 ribs have the connections for squirters but doesn't use them.

rods are different (slightly)

heads are the same for the most part (you could use either on either.... IIRC there's a slight casting difference but it's negligible).

pistons are what make the compression be different -- the 4agze pistons have a top ceramic coating.

I've used this photo time and time again....

you can see the piston in the middle has a different color on the top than the skirt, which isn't there for the other 2 (both n/a's).

the gze's pistons are forged plus have a ceramic coating...... much stronger for boost than the n/a pistons... however, you can boost n/a pistons (just won't be as reliable).

Let's not forget THE most important item, the crankshaft is also forged in the Supercharger and not cast. mr2tim

Sounds like somebody gave you some bad information.

There is no difference between '88+ NA and SC cranks. All 4AGE versions used the same crankshaft 1988 model year through the end of the 1991 model year. The part number is 13401-16020, regardless of whether it's naturally aspirated or supercharged.

^^^ yes, that is true. All 42mm journal 4ag(z)e cranks are the same -- well balanced and forged from the factory....

what I would be more intrigued to find out is if the late model (42mm journal) 4afe cranks are the same PN or not from Toyota.... it's been rumored that they're the same and it's also been rumored that they aren't
