MR2 MK1 rear cv axel problem

i was driving earlier and my cv joint went on the driver side, does anyone know who makes a decent one that isnt expensive and where to get the bolts that connect it to the manual trans?

You mean the cv or the actual carrier? Just get one off a used mr2, the head on them swaps straight from a corrolla as well if you tap it off the spline. Lots of cars from that period used the same type cv as the mr2. I'm surprised you broke it, I ran a locked diff and they never gave much trouble.

Why would you need the bolts? They are actually splined pressed in studs, you could get some but easier to replace the thing that has them in it. I use corolla bits a lot, I have a whole shelf of them because apart from shaft length they are the same. Plenty of auto places sell replacements because of this, don't know specifically what stores because I'm from NZ
