Need some part recomendations

So i just got my car back from the shop and am now looking for some advise on a few parts:

alternator

battery

spark plugs

air filter

some sort of fuel system cleaning stuffs

throttle cable

any other smaller cheap parts i can replace with not to much monies. since i got it we took it out for a ride tonight and the clutch grabs so much better now. the engine sounds good, as does the exaust. the minor problems i noticed were it idling at around 500 which i would think to be a lil low, i believe its the right turn signal makes the needle for the battery go down a bar when its lit, and she needs an alignment. all in all the car is wonderful and i can't wait to have it all dialed in. thanks for your recomendations in advance!

get Toyota plugs if you can. you can raise the idle at the screw on the intake.

Find a shop that sells batteries and ask if they have a tester. The old style that just put a drain on the battery weren't very accurate. Newer ones can detect if any of the cells are bad, etc… If the battery needs to be replaced, avoid generic no name brands that can only be warranted by the shop that sold you the battery. Battery warranties are not very consumer friendly. There shouldn't be any charge for testing the battery, but ask in advance.

Next, check the voltage from the alternator. It may be that the right turn signal bulb, relay and/or housing itself is causing the drain. Clean the contacts, try a different bulb and check the wiring.

Regarding the air filter, you can try a K&N if you want a re-usable one, but don't expect miraculous horsepower gains. I've either used a K&N in the OEM housing or a cone filter. The cone filter is a bit louder.

I've never had much luck with BBG products for cleaning the fuel system, specifically the injectors. Typically I just use CRC products for cleaning the AFM or TB.

The throttle cable may only be available through the dealer. But, is it stretched to the point that you can no longer adjust it at the TB or has it frayed and no longer slides smoothly?

Well i went to the shop, i bought some really nice plugs, probly a waste but i am ok with spending the money for quality. we dropped those in, i had a cone filter but it was rusted to ****(probly helping with my lower idle) and i was gonna clean it on and buy a new one but this guy there had a mazda mx-5 and he needed to toss his almost bran new filter! he gave it to me and its in so much better condition then my filter was. ill buy a new one after i tie up all the other lose ends.

as for batter i was looking at them optima batteries. i hear nothing but good about them. what you guys think? as for the throttle cable, its just frayed to hell.

The Optima is a great battery, probably overkill for your needs unless you rarely drive your car. That being said, I have one sitting in my garage as a spare. Locally, Optima is distributed by Interstate Battery. I believe Optima was once owned by Gates.

For my parents' cars, I bought the more powerful line of the Interstate batteries. For my car, a bought an Interstate blem battery, which is sold without a warranty and not offered by all shops.
