MK1 Parts for the sales!
So i heard rumors of this heaven called pick and pull and we went there. i just so happened to find an MK1 with alot of kit on it and i am willing to pick and pull the parts that people need from it for monies of course. right now i picked up the center console and the plastic part that covers over the gauges.
what you all might be interested in would be the 2 t-tops that were in almost mint condition! minimal scratches. the only thing was someone put cheapy tint on them and mucked it up. i will leave them on in case anyone wants them but is anyone interested? T-Tops: Imageshack - sspx0107.jpg Imageshack - sspx0108.jpg Sorry about the blur but they are both in pretty nice shape so if anyone is interested toss me an offer. they are on ebay for like 80bucks each plus 20 for shipping. Here are some pics i took of the car, if you see anything you like lemme know and if you don't see something it still might be there so bring it up. Imageshack - sspx0101.jpg Imageshack - sspx0102.jpg Imageshack - sspx0103i.jpg Imageshack - sspx0106.jpg I will be going back in a few days because i want some more parts off of it, the underskirt in the bumper there, and i want to convert my windows to the crank style so if anyone wants my power setup lemme know. also i might be taking the front right fender if its in good shape. on a side note this thing had the intake in the trunk for some reason and a box in the trunk labeled "engine control" thats the ECU right? |

we swapped the radiator and after a close look, the Junkyard one really isn't too much better then the one i had. enough to justify 20bucks i guess. also i discovered that the stock intake goes through the boot and around the side, right now this guy has a filter coming straigh off the engine. hot air equals bad. would it be better to go with the stock intake or is there something i can do using the cold air channel and the k&n?

You can do a pretty efficient ram air mod to get the air intake out of the engine bay. Re-route the gas filler tubes from the trunk. Install a side vent where the gas filler was. Plumb that new driver's side air intake to the airfilter attached to the AFM.
This mod has a gigantic drawback. The intake noise which sounds good when you're in the mood for it, will be about a foot and half from your left ear. And it will be LOUD. I did this mod and came very close to regretting doing it due to noise. |

sorry, i checked on your piece, the driver side was there but no passenger side. i def wasn't the first to get ahold. i wasn't able to transport the hood or bumper and i almost didn't get the front pass fender i wanted. i dun think i am goin back untill i get the array of projects done that are in front of me. sorry guys. i still have the T-Tops with the crappy tint on them. the kind you put on yourself so it would peel off easily. if anyone is interested make me an offer.
