I just bought my second mr2.
A black 1986 mk1. The car has a blown engine, so I'm planning on scalping parts then possibly stripping the car and taking it to the track. Oh and I got the car for $150 ! Here's a pic of it on the trailer. |

I currently own one, but this is my 3rd MR2. I had a '91 NA-> turbo, a '93 turbo, and now an '86 with a BT 20v.
Most I've owned at one time is one and a half MR2s. |

I'm currently sitting at 6 with 238, 328, 289, the 88SC, the 91 and the spare parts car a t-top supercharger with bad rust. I want to line them up and take a pic at some point especially since all the racecars are the same colour scheme. There are pictures floating around of all of me and my friends cars lined up at a high-school careers open day. No idea why but they wanted us there but the photographer didn't send me the files so I never got the pics but they're out there somewhere.

just 2 here. 91T and 91N/a parts car. (also picked it up for $150.. but cost $167 to tow home from chatanooga
)So for $317, i've long since recouped my money, and saved even more by not having to order small things like nuts and bolts and small pieces. |

I only have my daily driver 87 but I would love to find another one to put my silvertop in. I also wouldnt mind a mk2 but the few around are expensive.

Can I change my vote? I'll be picking up another one tomorrow if all works out. 88 t-top will be my 20v car if all works out.

I've got something like 3.5... one in good order, the SC car needs new seals/gaskets, my 86 hardtop is in process of being put together (ex-racer to street trim) then I've also got a mostly stripped parts car I'm about to be sending to the scrap yard when I finish with it. It was wrecked AT LEAST 5 times (so says carfax) and didn't come with a title so I don't count it as a whole car, lol.

I now own two 89's and a Protege 5 (as a daily driver, to haul my mount & road bike and my kiddo around).
Was going to use one MK1 for parts but I now I'm thinking of keeping it as a runner also. |
