pics? i have simular rust but its not bad enough yet. i hear you can't replace the panel but you instead have to cut out the rust spot and replace it. not sure how true it is but it seems like it would be.

the guy at maaco told me we would most likely have to take the panels off and put new ones on.right-rear-body-panels-0717091142r.jpg

then again, i suppose the rust may not have traveled that far into the body yet. wont know till it gets opened up

That amount of rust is minimal compared to my 1987. You could probably do the repair yourself by cutting out the rust, pop riveting in a piece of sheet metal and then bondoing and painting the repaired area. Unless your looking to get the car prefect.

Craigs MR2 here
I had the same problems but much more rust (both sides) .
Took it to a body shop and they fixed it with Metal..no bondo..and they painted it as well (looks pretty now).
If you like the car and it runs well, Spend a few bucks if you can afford it and it will look new.
Thanks
