Yeah I was thinking it might be the FPR...

Yesterday I started playing around with it, under the car I found the o2 sensor wire was melted against the exhaust. Whoops. Fixed that though, cleared the codes, and it runs alot better.

The bucking while coasting in gear and stalling are gone.

But when I'm accelerating, it's holding back till I floor the throttle, then it picks right up, but still isn't as fast as it was or should be.

I ran it super low on gas the other day and I think that possibly the fuel filter got clogged by some crap floating in there, even though its brand new. Does this make any sense?

Thanks!!

There's a filter inside the gas tank, that fits onto the fuel pump. Its called a screen instead of a filter.

However, the running condition you described is typical of an AFM, TPS, poor electrical connection, vacuum leak and a host of other potentials, clogged fuel pump screen is low on the list. The clutch on the SC, or its fan belt could also be acting up.

Not to worry, you'll get it running right, and then another different problem will arise. When they were new cars, they were pretty reliable, but now they are not so new.

No AFM, so maybe a bad MAP sensor? And this happens even when I run it as NA(switch for the sc clutch for the highway)

We will figure it out buddy, thank you sooooo much for your input...

I unplugged the TPS and it still ran the same way, not sure if that eliminates the TPS as fault, but its a shot.

Im thinking i gotta MS this bitch, or some other aftermarket ECU

Map sensors don't die a lot. Hook it up to an ohm meter, and then apply vacuum and pressure to it. The reading should not be out of limits, or unchanging during the test.

I've thought about MS'ing mine quite a bit. But bottom line: its Mo' money, weeks of full time study, and a butt load of rewiring. I'm just too lazy to do it. I think you'll get the oem up and running a lot sooner and easier.

By the way, you are running a JDM map sensor type ECU in that puppy, right?

Again, focus on the electrical connections. They are 20 years old and left on their own will be crusty as hell.

Yup, JDM map...

I'm gonna go over the thing again like crazy today and hope to find something...
